近年来，县委、县政府强力实施“招商引资、外来资本带动”战略，狠抓项目带动，全县工业企业达到1400余家。先后引进了投资20余亿元的亚新钢铁公司、世界500强企业益海嘉里集团公司、全球最大甜味剂供应商丹麦丹尼斯克公司、健丰食品公司、永达清真食品公司、安阳众品食业公司、安阳奥克啤酒公司等10余家投资亿元以上的企业，今麦郎面粉、六和饲料等20余家投资5000万元以上的企业，促进了县域经济的发展。形成了食品、冶金建材、医药化工、纺织、机械制造、工程塑料等六大支柱产业：即以健丰、众品、奥克等为代表的食品加工业，以亚新钢铁、优创铁合金等为代表的冶金建材产业，以东泰、九州、创新药业等为代表的生物医药产业，以鸿发纺织公司等为代表的纺织产业，以华兴机械、汽车零部件等为代表的机械制造产业，以恒昌橡塑材料、清华工程塑料等为代表的工程塑料产业。目前79项产品获国家部委和省级优质产品称号，国家专利授权量达140余件。

食品工业发展迅猛。汤阴县依托丰富的农业资源，以食品工业聚集区为载体，充分利用自身电力、煤炭、运输、人力等优势，坚持以食品工业项目为发展重点，大力集聚食品产业群体，目前已拥有各类食品加工企业110多家，其中重点龙头企业66家，国家级食品工业龙头企业5家，形成了面粉、肉鸡、饼干、木糖醇、小杂粮、食用菌六大食品加工群体，食品工业已成为全县的支柱产业。2004年、2006年、2008年连续三次蝉联“全国食品工业强县”荣誉称号。

More than 10 enterprises have invested over 1000 billion Yuan, such as Yaxin Iron and Steel Company with investment of over 20 billion , Yihai Jiali Group one of 500 world's top enterprises, DANISCO company one of the largest suppliers of sweeteners in the world, Jianfeng Food Company, Yongda Moslem Food Company, Anyang Zhongpin Food Company, Anyang Aoke Beer Company and etc. More than 20 companies have invested over 50000 thousand Yuan, such as Jinmailang Flour, Liuhe Feed and etc. They promote the development of the economy. Here has formed six pillar industries such as the food, metallurgical materials, medicine & chemicals, textiles, machinery, engineering plastics. That is the food processing industry represented by Jianfeng, Zhongpin, Aoke and etc. Metallurgical and the building materials industry represented by Yaxin Iron and Steel, Youchuang Ferroalloy and etc. The biomedical industry represented by Dongtai, Jiuzhou,Chuangxin pharms and etc. The textile industry represented by Hongfa textile and etc. The machinery manufacturing industry represented by Huaxing machinery, Auto Parts and etc. The engineering plastics industry represented by Hengchang Plastics Material, ,Tsinghua engineering plastics and etc. At present, 79 products have won the Quality title of National Ministries and Provincial, the State Licensings have amounted to over 140.
The food industry is developing rapidly.Tangyin,relying on the rich agricultural resources ,the carrier of the food industry, makes full use of its advantages as power, coal, transport, manpower and others, adheres to develop the Food Industry, and vigorously gathers food industry groups. Now there are more than 110 food processing enterprises, of which 66 key enterprises, 5 state-level food leading enterprises. Here has formed six groups of food processing as the Flour, Chicken, Cookies, Xylitol, Green Grains, Edible Fungi .The food industry has become a pillar industry in Tangyin. In 2004, 2006, 2008, it had won the honorary title of "National Food Industry Focus County" three times .
